Vel Noir is a small European luxury collection house designing premium modal and micromodal men's underwear. We do not chase trends. We collect chapters.
Founder's Note
Every scar becomes a pattern.
I started Vel Noir for a man I knew well — quieter than most, attentive to detail, allergic to noise.
He did not need another logo. He needed a first layer that respected him. That is what we are trying to make.
It began quietly.
Vel Noir was never meant to be loud. It began as a single thought — that the most intimate layer a man wears should carry meaning, not noise.
Confidence, we believe, is not announced. It is felt before anyone sees it.
Better fabrics. Better hands.
We spent a long time looking. For modal that felt like memory. For micromodal that disappeared on the skin. For stitching that survived a decade of laundry and still looked like the first day.
Most fabrics felt ordinary. We kept walking.
A workshop, a handshake.
The search ended in a small atelier in Istanbul — a city that has been weaving cloth for centuries before any of us were born.
The hands there understood what we were trying to say without us finishing the sentence. Tonal black. Hand-applied gold. Stitches that do not show.

Each Vel Noir edition is borrowed from a place we have loved.
The Adriatic at Cesenatico. The Dolomite silence above Val di Fassa. The unconditional loyalty of a Dalmatian who never asked for anything in return.

The beginning of Vel Noir.
The first edition is now being prepared. It will be released in limited quantity, presented in signature packaging, and offered first to the Inner Circle.
After that, the library will grow — quietly, one chapter at a time.
The Object
Quiet outside.
Intentional inside.
Every edition arrives sealed in matte black, opened to reveal a tonal interior and a single hand-applied gold seal. The object itself is part of the chapter.
Sourcing
A small atelier in Istanbul.
Vel Noir is produced in a family-run atelier in Istanbul — a city that has been weaving cloth for centuries. Our fibre comes from certified European mills: beech-derived modal and micromodal, finished gently, knit at a density above the category standard.
Craftsmanship
Built once, worn for years.
Flatlock seams that disappear under tailoring. Bonded waistbands that hold without compressing. Hand-applied gold seals on every box. The kind of details you only see when you slow down enough to look.
